Shoulder Bridge is an exercise that is incorporated regularly into class. The exercise is performed by rolling the pelvis and the spine off the mat, trying to articulate the spine vertebra by vertebra. This is good for mobilising the middle and lower parts of the spine. The main aim of this exercise is to strengthen the gluteals by lifting the pelvis off the mat. This exercise has many variations including a change of tempo, working just one leg, and adding in equipment to challenge stability.
