Are you suffering from lateral hip pain?

Greater Trochanter Pain Syndrome (GTPS) is an overarching term for the following conditions that relate to feeling pain on the outside of your hip:

  • Trochanteric bursitis (bursa inflammation)
  • Gluteus Medius Tendinopathy
  • Gluteus Minimus Tendinopathy
  • Gluteal Tears
  • Coxa Saltans (Snapping Hip Syndrome)

If you suffer with any of these conditions, you may feel pain:

  • On the outside of the thigh
  • When pressing the greater trochanter (your hip bone)
  • That is exacerbated with prolonged sitting
  • Climbing stairs
  • When running
  • When lying on that side
  • When sleeping
  • When crossing your legs.

If you think you may be suffering with one of these conditions, then don’t hesitate to get in touch with the team at tfd therapy.
